Criterion text
Ovens must meet at least Class A energy efficiency for ovens in accordance with regulation (EU) No 65/2014 supplementing Directive 2010/30/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council regarding energy labelling of domestic ovens and range hoods.
Verification
- Energy label in accordance with regulation (EU) No 65/2014
- Other documentation that shows the energy labelling class, such as information sheets
Proposed follow-up
Ensure that ovens supplied under the contract correspond to the energy-efficient models requested in the tender by checking the energy labels and ensuring that the energy efficiency class complies with the requirement.
Information about the criterion
The requirement does not include ovens using other energy sources than electricity or gas. This is the same scope as the energy labelling regulation (EU) No 65/2014 supplementing Directive 2010/30/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council regarding energy labelling of domestic ovens and range hoods.
Environmental goals
Motive
Energy use in the user phase is part of the environmental impact of the appliance. Buying energy efficient ovens thus reduces the environmental impact from the user phase.
