[The contracting organisation] will use the attached LCC tool in its evaluation.
Conditions
The following conditions apply for tumble dryers:
Conditons | Fields to be completed by the contracting organisation |
Number of units (pcs) to be procured
Number of years included in the calculation (years of operation per unit)
Cost of capital/discount rate (%)
Electricity price (SEK/kWh)
Size of unit (place settings and/or width) |

Proposed follow-up
Follow-up by checking the calculation made in the LCC calculation tool. Check that the equipment supplied are the same as the ones in the calculation
Information about the criterion
The Life-Cycle Cost (LCC) aims to consider an appliance's cost from a life cycle perspective. In order to do so, all costs over the lifetime of a product need to be included; that is, the investment cost (purchase price and costs for delivery and installation), operation and maintenance expenses (costs related to energy and water consumption, repairs, servicing etc.) and costs for disposing of waste at the end of the product's life cycle. Other additional costs that will be incurred over the lifetime of a product, such as any insurance, taxes, and fees, must also be included to arrive at the correct figure.
Environmental goals
Motive
The Life-Cycle Cost (LCC) aims to consider an appliance's cost from a life cycle perspective. Costs related to the environmental impact incurred over the lifetime of a product can be included in a Life-Cycle Cost (LCC) calculation. LCC calculations are a useful tool in being able to make conscious and long-sighted, financially sound investment decisions. These calculations often indicate that environmentally friendly products are better from an overall financial perspective.
