Ensure that professional upright and counter refrigerators and freezers supplied under the contract correspond to the energy-efficient models requested in the tender by checking the energy labels and making sure that the energy efficiency class complies with the requirement above.
Alternatively, excerpts from EPREL (the European Product Database for Energy Labelling) can be followed up to ensure that the product's energy efficiency class label meets the requirement.

This requirement can be used to good effect in combination with the climate class requirement, Requirement ID 11509.
The energy labelling regulation (EU) 2015/1094 for professional refrigerated storage cabinets is currently being reviewed.

Refrigerator-freezers (combination of refrigerator and freezer) are not covered by the energy labelling regulation ((EU) 2015/1094), and, accordingly, neither are they covered by this criterion.
