The supplier must provide a guarantee of at least one (1) year which begins to apply upon product delivery. The warranty covers defects in the product which are due to defects in design, materials, manufacturing or which consist in the product otherwise not meeting the agreed characteristics. The warranty must cover repair or replacement and include a service agreement with the possibility of free pick-up and return or on-site repair. Even defective1 batteries must be covered by the warranty.
1 If the battery cannot be charged or if the battery connection cannot be detected, this shall be considered a defect. A gradual deterioration of the battery's capacity as a result of use shall not be considered a defect, unless this is covered by a specific provision in the warranty, see ID 11193.
