Electronic appliances release organic substances in the indoor air, and free particles can also be released. This criterion limits these emissions to maintain a good indoor air quality.

Criterion text
The imaging equipment with original toner cartridge must meet the limit values, stated in the table. The test method described in Blue Angel, (the German Ecolabel), Office Equipment with Printing Function (Printers and Multifunction Devices) DE-UZ 219 (2021), section 3,3, is to be used.

Verification
The supplier shall, upon request, be able to present a verification, for example one of the following:
- Demonstrate test report showing that the offered products meet the above requirement according to the test methods in Blue Angel (the German Ecolabel), Office Equipment with Printing Function DE-UZ205 (2017).
- The Eco Declaration, ECMA 370 or equivalent documentation.
- Ecolabelling according to the Nordic Swan Ecolabel for Imaging equipment, version 6.0 or later.
- Ecolabelling, according to Blue Angel(the German Ecolabel), Office Equipment with Printing Function DE-UZ 219 (2021).*
*Note that products labelled with Blue Angel also needs to have an extended license valid for the Swedish company placing the product on the market, in accordance with the rules of Blue Angel.
Proposed follow-up
Test report
If the requirement has been verified with a test report, request the test report, demonstrating that the combination of machine and original toner cartridge meets the requirement.
Labelling
If the requirement has been verified with an ecolabel check for a valid ecolabelling license according to the Nordic Swan Ecolabel, or Blue Angel (the German Ecolabel). Note that products labelled with Blue Angel also needs to have an extended license valid for the Swedish company placing the product on the market, in accordance with the rules of Blue Angel.
Eco declaration
If the requirement has been verified with the Eco declaration, check that the stated values in The Eco Declaration meet the limit values in the criteria.
Versions history
