Criterion text
The supplier must, no later than x (to be filled in by the procuring organization) months after the start of the contract, be able to report third-party controlled information about the delivered equipment's climate impact from a life cycle perspective. This can be done with, for example, the following:
- Certified environmental or climate declaration according to ISO 14025 or an equivalent standard.
- Other third-party verified declaration that reports the product's climate impact from a life cycle perspective, based on ISO 14067, PAS 2050 or other equivalent standards.
Verification
By submitting its tender, the supplier accepts that this special contract term shall be fulfilled during the contractual period.
Proposed follow-up
Check/review the information provided by the supplier, such as an environmental product declaration or the equivalent. The check should ascertain at least the validity of the declaration and whether it has been verified by an independent third party. If the supplier refers to a certified environmental declaration, check its validity with the organisation that published the declaration.
Information about the criterion
The requirement is recommended for the following new and refurbished equipment:
- laptops
- desktop and all-in-one computers
- monitors
- smartphones and tablets.
