Criterion text
Where new batteries have been installed, the battery's endurance shall exceed 300 charge cycles (with a state of health of ≥80%). Tests shall be carried out according to EC EN 61960-3:2017 or an equivalent standard.
Where equipment contains used batteries, the supplier shall specify minimum levels for the used batteries' state of health in its tender (for example, state of health >80%).
Verification
Upon request, the supplier shall be ready to present one of the following; for example:

New batteries: the supplier shall provide test results from an ISO 17025 accredited testing body in accordance with the IEC EN 61960-3:2017 standard.

The supplier's self-declaration of compliance with the requirements, including technical documentation, verified by a verification body accredited for the task according to ISO/IEC 17029 or an equivalent standard.

Check/review the information provided by the supplier in its tender.
New batteries
Check the test report to ensure that battery endurance meets the requirement. Confirm, too, that the test has been performed in accordance with IEC EN 61960-3:2017 or an equivalent standard.
Used batteries
Check that the state of health for used batteries is in accordance with the specified minimum levels.
Self-declaration verified by an accredited verification body
If a verified self-declaration is used as verification for the requirement, request the supplier's self-declaration along with documentation showing that the requirement is met. A self-declaration shall be verified by a verification body accredited for the task in accordance with ISO/IEC 17029 or an equivalent standard.
