The purpose of this award criterion is to obtain information about the life-cycle climate impact of the consumable item; the supplier compiles this information in accordance with accepted methods and international standards for life-cycle analyses.

Criterion text
To be awarded [points/price deductions] in the tender evaluation the supplier shall be able to show the life-cycle climate impact for one or several disposable textiles, under the contract.
Verification
The supplier shall, upon request, be able to present any of for example the following:
- Environmental declaration in accordance with ISO 14025 or equivalent standard*
- Climate footprint in accordance with ISO 14067 or equivalent standard*
Proposed follow-up
Follow up by checking that the calculation for climate impact is made for a product or products under the contract. Check that the calculations contains results from lifecycle analysis in accordance with ISO 14044 or equivalent.
If the supplier claims "equivalence", relevant documentation shall be attached to the tender.
Information about the criterion
By rewarding suppliers that conduct life-cycle analyses, knowledge is increased about the environmental impact of products, which is important information for the supplier's work with substitution. Access to life-cycle data can allow different plastic polymers and plastic materials to be compared during the production, use and waste phases. All constituent additives (in plastic, for example) shall be included in the analysis i for a fair comparison to be made.
