Criterion text
The supplier shall, in consultation with the contracting organization, decide which worn-out textiles in the procuring range that can be taken back by the supplier for recycling1.
[At the start of the contract or other time decided by the contracting organization], the supplier shall be invited to a meeting with the contracting organization for dialogue and decision on which textiles are to be included. The supplier shall take back these textiles for the entire lifespan of the textile.
The supplier shall be able to annually report the amount of textile returned in kilograms and which organizations that have received the textiles for recycling.
1Recycling means that waste is used as a substitute for some other material or that it is prepared for such a benefit or a measure is taken which means that waste is prepared for reuse.
Verification
The supplier's acceptance in the tender means that the contract terms will be fulfilled at the times specified in the contract. This can be followed up during the term of the contract.
Proposed follow-up
Follow up that textiles are taken back in accordance with the agreement reached with the supplier.
This can be done, for example, on an ongoing basis at follow—up meetings or in written reporting where it is stated how returned textiles have been handled. It must then appear:
- Which quantities of textiles in kilos that have been taken back.
- Which organizations received the textiles for recycling.
Information about the criterion
The contract term is used when the contracting organization wants to return textiles that are to be discarded to the supplier. If you have other ways of disposing of textiles that are to be discarded, for example the municipality's textile collection, the criterion shall not be used.
The supplier refers to the textile supplier who delivers textiles within the contract.
